At Ski Carosello they take safety seriously. At the critical infrastructure of Piz La Ila where the famous Gran Risa ski slope falls down steeply, Raidyn was called to augment the already available magnetic inspection sensor with AURA. Ski Carosello wanted a simple installation without a mechanical mount embracing the rope. Raidyn’s solution was to deliver AURA in a customized setting with three cameras mounted on simple but sturdy mounts.

The result? Mounting, calibration, connection to the local network and testing were achieved within the day without a single minute of stop of the precious operational time. The material is so light that it was carried at the peak station in a simple backpack. AURA is now operational and covers visual inspection of the roughly 4km long 2S installation running at up to 6 m/s speed. Without missing a beat. Every day. Reports are then generated and checked monthly or after events such as large thunderstorms. In the next years Raidyn’s AI model will help the technical manager and the staff to evaluate the exact moment when a rope change is needed.
